We have a wide range of facilities at Wolds Way To Health. Starting with our male and female changing rooms equipped with showers and lockers. We have a cardio area with various cardio equipment, a weights area with Air Machine Resistance equipment as well as a large number of free weights and lastly a studio area which is used for various classes including kettle-bell and Pilates. We also have a fully qualified physiotherapist on site who specialises in musculoskeletal, sports and spinal injuries.
Over the years we have put together a team of trainers who work with our members on a one-to-one personal trainer basis designing programmes suitable to your needs and line with your goals, meaning we teach, motivate and help you to achieve the results you want. Our one-to-one personal training programmes are constantly tailored to meet your individual needs to help you with weight loss, toning, higher energy levels, improved stamina, cardio vascular gains, increased endurance, muscle building, improved bone density and better flexibility as well as helping you feel healthier and happier.
Our Life Fitness cardio equipment consists of treadmills, cross trainers, upright bikes,
recumbent bikes and our Cardio Concept Rowers.
Our Air Machine resistance equipment uses compressed air to simulate weights. It is used for rehabilitation in hospitals because it has a number of advantages over traditional weight systems. Firstly it is simple to use and because the weight is displayed on an LCD screen no one knows the weight except for you. It is also a very smooth system to use and will not jar as some weight systems do. While normal weights may appear to achieve the same thing, factors like friction and speed of movement can affect the amount of force but with air resistance equipment the force is always the same. It also has a distinct advantage as you are able to increase the weight in 1 kilo increments allowing you more control over the weight.
